3M™ Micro-Klean™ D-Series filters are coiled media with an excellent density gradient depth structure that maintains fine filtration precision and strong particle barrier resistance at low pressure drops. The use of a special capping media and spiral interwoven yarn, interwoven into the core media through a patented 3M manufacturing process, significantly increases flow and extends service life, thereby reducing total cost of ownership. 3M™ Micro-Klean™ D-Series Liquid Filter Cartridges can select the right filter media according to compatibility, cotton filter media is suitable for water, alcohol, and other polar liquid related applications; Polypropylene filter media is suitable for filtering aqueous solutions containing acids, alkalis, strong oxidants and reducing agents, and other chemicals.
The performance of 3M™ Micro-Klean™ D-Series filters is directly related to the advanced winding pattern of the yarn matrix, combined with our process of applying custom media "blankets" individually between continuous yarn layers. This winding pattern produces a much larger diamond-shaped contaminant-containing chamber. Individually inserted blankets surround the chamber and maintain the consistency and integrity of filtration. These two factors combine to achieve a balance of filtration characteristics that are difficult to obtain for common wound cartridges that use fluffing or brushed fibers on the yarn to produce filter media.
